Dustin Farrell – Timelapse Master?

Dustin Farrell is a photographer and videographer, living in Arizona, USA and having his company Crew West, Inc working for NBC etc. (its amazing what you can find out using just internet and social sites). When I saw his videos on his Vimeo page, my jaw dropped. Amazing is it? All of those photographs were captured across USA at various points of day and night. But that’s not only one thing that is amazing. All of them are making a…

Nikon vs Canon: The Switch

…I had no idea how to use it. 🙁 2. Journey continues So, you have your first camera. After some time you decide to buy extra lens or two, a camera bag and plenty of other unnecessary accessories. You learn more and more about photography, you experiment, find the genre or category you like the most and continue shooting. At the same time you look at the competitors. Sony, Canon, Olympus. And start to wondering if they are better. You compare the…

Lights in Central London

…don with my girlfriend to take some pictures, stretch legs and do something different than watching movies. And since I don’t like taking street photos of people, I did something different. But its still kind of street photography. Kind of 🙂 So, I was teaching Mariana how to take good pictures and what ISO, f-stop and shutter speed is and how to change it on her 5D Mk II. It was fun, but freezing, cold, dark and plenty of people were…

Plus it was great experience and way to learn, when I was starting out in photography. First show I photographed in 2010, I took 12 000 images. Yes, 12 000. I know its waaaaay too much, but hey I was learning 🙂 Anyway, if you around Brunel University this week on Thursday, Friday or even Satruday…

GHOST: Militia Assasult

…arted messaging everyone about creating action sequence movie. Little short with guns, special forces, milita and so on. Idea was really cool and 6 of us came together. So, Daniel was director and producer, I was Director of Photography together with Chi Zhang, Chris Oakley was Generic Militia and actually put the whole short together at the end, Zaher Keshavjee was another bad guy and Alexander Tachauer was Militia Leader. Cat in the Forest

…en rendering will finish and I can burn some images to DVDs and send them to clients. Its new week and so many things to do. At least I don’t have that many sessions as last week or week before. But still I will have a photography session in a studio. The only trick is that it will involve about 5-7 people. Girls and boys. And water. 🙂 I won’t reveal any more, so not to spoil the surprise, but it will be fun shoot 🙂 From other things…

OpenMic Night – Academy Chillout Lounge – 17.01.11

…ar (last university term) I bought my new camera with a set of lenses. I was thinking how I could use it “safely” or in some sort of more friendly environment to test how it preforms with low light and live music photography. I didn’t wanted to take it straight away to KOKO or some bigger venue. Thats why I decided to take it to little, Sunday evening event on campus run by students. This little event was called Academy…

Freshers Photo @ Brunel University – 20.09.11

…m people. I called this little project “Freshers Photo”. Idea was to simply take portrait photo of as many Freshers arriving at Brunel campus in September 2011 as I could. I didn’t wanted to do street style photography. I wanted it to be more posed and fun, than just shy portrait without smiles. So, how do you convince strangers to simple into big DSLR and pose for few seconds on the street? Use a prop. Big enough to get it…
