I love photographing dancers. Ballerinas, hip hop, jazz ones. This time I had pleasure to photograph amazing Cecily on the snow. Yep. In cold. See yourself inside (lots of images) 😀There was a weekend in London/England in January, when suddenly we had quite a big snowfall. About 5 cm or so? Everything was covered in snow, frost, snowflakes. Suddenly Instagram exploded with images of frozen spider webs and other stuff. It was really beautiful outside and I didn’t wanted to waste it. At first, I was supposed to photograph model in North London, but roads were kind of in stand still and trains not working, so I couldn’t get to her in reasonable time. I had to cancel on that idea and instead came up with Ballerina on the Snow 🙂 .
I know Cecily for quite a while now and was always been impressed with her dancing skills. After short while, I managed to explain her the idea and convince her to get photographed on the snow, wearing nothing but ballerina body suit (“you will be fine, we will finish quicker than you know it”) 🙂
On the day it wasn’t really that cold. About 2-3 degrees, no wind, sunset time. Pretty and with plenty of snow to play with. It was really fun photoshoot. Cecily is great to work with, very modest (“I like the photos, but hate my face expression”), and she really gave life to the photos. 😀 Enough talking, enjoy the images.
