Tattoo Portraits @ The Great British Tattoo Show

Here is the post that some of you have been waiting for a while. Events portraits. Of people of curse. Full of ink on their bodies 🙂

Special thank you goes to Shelley from Jazz Publishing for sorting out press passes for me. 🙂

It was a great event. Plenty of stuff to see and watch up close and personal. However, I think the people attending and presenting there were most interesting. Their bodies covered in various tattoos. Full of names, designs, signs. You could find someone having disney characters tattooed on themselves, large chinese dragons or even names of their children and lovers. Thats a beauty of a tattoo. Another way of expressing yourself. Making something last for longer or carry it around with you for long, long time.

The best thing about this show was how friendly these people were. Many were tattooed from head to toe, looked scary and mean at first. But when you approached them, they were friendly, were happy to have a chat with you about anything (favourite topic was ink and needles 🙂 ). That was the best part of the show. Meet great random people and have a conversation with them.

Enjoy the photos 😉

Techy bits:

  • Nikon D3s used
  • 85mm f1.8D lens with variable ND filter
  • SB-900 flash with portable softbox and flash trigger
  • Plenty of smile and positiv attitude 🙂
