A while ago I went to Odeon cinema to see “Puss in Boots”. Animation of the cat “from the Shrek”. Well, it was worth it. Find out why.
Some movies you have to watch in cinema to get the whole experience e.d. Lord of the Rings. Some you can watch on DVD and still will be good e.g. The Inbetweeners. Some movies you have to watch in 3D to get “the upper experience” e.g. The Green Lantern. But some of them you have to see in IMAX 3D to get the best out of them. And Puss in Boots is one of them.
Why pay premium to see a movie in IMAX 3D? Well, because of few things:
- picture quality is amazing with great resolution
- screen is much bigger (in most cinemas)
- the image sharpness and “reality” of 3D is much better
- because its animation, characters are more “live”
Since Shrek, everyone loves fast action packed animated movies like Finding Nemo or Madagascar. Puss in Boots is same. Sword fighting, monster and treasure hunting, they even are shooting at each other. Plus everything with tongue and cheek humour 🙂 Meow!
Animation and characters are lovable. Puss was first introduced to us in Shrek 2 in 2004. It is exactly the same little cat. Plus other characters look like they have come out of the Shrek world, too. DreamWorks didn’t disappointing with animation and rendering the details. Especially in few scenes there is quite a few close ups on eyes, fur etc and everything looks amazing. It feels like you can touch it, but hey you are in IMAX 😀 No wonder why it feels soo real 🙂
If you have a chance, watch this movie when you can. You won’t be dissapointed. Really funny and well written piece of work. Oh and on top of that, Puss doesthe “eyes thing” 🙂 So he looks extra sweet. Cat lovers will love it 🙂
