Who remembers Mario? OK, who didn’t play Mario? I think game that was played more times than Mario is Snake on old Nokia mobile phones.
I saw a video on YouTube (surprise right?). And it showed year of gaming in 2011. OK, 2011 didn’t finished, but most major games have been released so far. But how did gaming changed since old times? Well lets see:

So, what’s next in gaming? Imax like 3D? Its already there. You can get graphics cards that support 3D displays and display games in 3D. Just get the right glasses.
1080p graphics? Some games have it, but are downscaled to 720p. Reason? Consoles won’t be able to cope with 1080p at the moment. PCs can
Good PCs. However if you compare PCs to consoles, PC graphics looks most of the time better. More detailed textures, better effects etc.
New best thing would be more and more games that come without scripting or little script/story line? Live action RPG or shooting games that have beginning and many possible endings? Well, its already there like in Deus Ex:HR or Hard Rain. but what if game had only beginning, defined “laws” like gravity, energy of spells, bullets etc and once you start playing the systems throws at you characters to fight with? Sounds difficult to do, but if you look at first Call of Duty and the latest one, then you see how quickly games can develop and be epic
